Revisiting Maidenahalli Blackbuck Reserve

I had visited Maidenahalli Blackbuck Reserve in Tumkur district way back in 2008 and also had posted about my experiences in a unique Question and Answer format.

Last weekend i.e.12th July 2014 I had been to the same place with my blogging friend Shrinidhi Hande, who had opted for a self-drive Tata Safari for trip. We did the onward journey through Hebbal, Yehalanka, Doddaballapur and bypassed Gauribidanur to reach Maindenahalli. Unlike my 2008 trip this time things getting to the place turned out to be cakewalk with help from Google Maps navigation. Techonology has certainly made an impact in our lives. However, there were a few hiccups - while bypassing Gauribidanur we got lost for a while as the roads which were not marked properly on the google maps and also the entrance of the reserve is marked 3 kms before the actual entrance in the map !

Following are a few photographs from 2014 visit to the place.

First spotting of the blackbuck. this before the entrance gate of the reserve
